Are the hats safe?
All the hats are made of 100% mercerized yarn from the never ending cotton fields of Greece. The yarn is treated in a non-toxic way in accordance with the international standards. The peas, flowers, acorns, and other ornaments are sewn on in the safest fashion. The girls making the hats are moms themselves and very much into safety. The peas, the most appreciated style is sewn with four strings back and forth and safely attached to the hat. The paint on the peas is also non-toxic. The buttons have passed the tests for the possible contents of lead.
Where are the hats made?
Most of the hats are made in beautiful Colorado and Michigan. It is a true cottage industry with the making of hats in the homes of Ann, Beth, Jean, Karen, Sue, Tesia, Vivian and Deedra. Some hats are also made in Latvia by the pupils in a humanitarian project for troubled young girls and boys. We are so grateful to have these truly artistic people being part of Margareta Horn Design.
Sizes
The Margareta Horn Design sizing is based on the age. The sizes are available as follows:
0-3m, 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m, 12-18m, 18-24m, 2-4y, 4-6y, 6-8y, adult small, medium and large
Payments
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal Express. Please do not be discouraged if you do not have a PayPal account. Proceed to the "pay with credit card" button for credit cards and chose the one that suits you.
Shipping
Each hat really is one of a kind and is knitted when the order is placed. Please note we aim to ship all orders within 2-3 weeks from the date of the order. Shipping is free to all U.S. addresses and $7 to Canada and the European Union. All other countries please contact us for shipping cost.
Returns
If for any reason your merchandise is not to your satisfaction please send me an email to margaretahorn@hotmail.com . We ask that you return the hat(s) within 7 business days after you received it.
Only items that have been purchased through this website. If you purchased the hat from a retail store, please return it there.
Please ensure that the item you are returning is repackaged with all its original tags. Please describe the reason for your return.
If the hat(s) are in good condition upon arrival, a refund will be issued.
